There are so many different lotions and potions accessible to maintain flowing hair and skin nowadays it’s difficult to pick the best one. Invest the a vacation into your local drugstore, you will be greeted by row after row of shelves full of various products, all promising to be effective wonders and make miracles. I do think the one way to find out which items are right for you is to experiment and check for yourself. One of my favourites that I’ve been using for some time now could be argan oil.

Sometimes known as ‘liquid gold’, it is just a natural product, taken from the kernels with the argan tree that’s native to Morocco. It is usually utilized as a moisturiser along with products to tend your hair. It’s because the fact that the oil includes a high nutrient content and is also abundant with efas, anti-oxidants and vitamin e d-alpha that is vital for healthy hair and skin. Additionally it is renowned in making hair soft, silky and shiny and to make frizzy hair more manageable. Other reported important things about argan oil for hair range from the promotion of healthier hair growth, protection against scalp dryness and itching along with the restoration of dry and damaged hair. As a non-greasy, easily absorbed oil it is used as a skin moisturiser that may benefit dry skin specifically. It is also famous for it’s anti-ageing properties and many advocates of argan oil have stated the actual way it has helped their skin conditions such as acne and eczema. I have tried personally argan aceite to help treat dried-out skin in my elbows and knees and yes it did wonders for me and left my skin beautifully smooth and soft without any irritation.

Due to it’s benefits, celebrities including Jennifer aniston, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Taylor Swift are users of argan oil to help care for their head of hair and skin. It’s even starting out appear in mascara formulas as it is claimed it may help to generate your lashes longer plus much more lustrous. My locks are very dry and has a wiry texture (it almost feels as though fine fishing line) as well as the oil in it’s pure form aids you to add moisture and softness to my hair. Even if you are lucky enough to get have naturally soft hair, argan oil is a nice finishing touch to include extra gloss and shine.

Although finding shampoos, conditioners, hair styling products and skincare products containing argan oil is easy, due to the oil’s rarity they are presented at a relatively high price. While i mentioned before, the oil is obtained from the argan tree which is seen in southern Morocco. The standard technique of extracting the oil would have been to collect argan fruit, dry it, extract the nuts, crack these to reveal the kernels then to crush them to release their oil. The procedure ended by hand and took fifteen hours of labour and thirty two kilograms of fruit to generate only one litre of oil! Currently the kernels are mechanically cold pressed (heat damages the oil’s chemical properties). The tree is rare, extracting the oil is labour intensive… to ensure the high price. However, the good news is just a little oil goes quite a distance.

The scarcity from the argan tree is the place the problem lies. There are plenty of products on the market now which contain argan oil or are marketed as ‘argan oil’ or ‘Moroccan oil’. However if you check out the label, there are often other ingredients (such as silicon) in larger quantities compared to actual argan oil. Cosmetic companies must strive in order that the supply of argan oil is sustainable and also a top quality, untainted by other oils or substances.

How do we know you will get the real thing? If you are getting a product containing argan oil – look at the ingredients. Be aware of ‘argania spinosa kernel oil’, it should be high up the ingredients list and ideally, the merchandise should contain as few ingredients as you can. The greater things that the oil is when combined, the less capable the oil will be. Should you be buying pure argan oil, makes it within a dark coloured bottle because the light passing through a clear bottle can breakdown the oil’s chemical properties. Some products that are marketed as argan oil also include a carrier oil including olive or sunflower oil. Also be aware of the purchase price you happen to be paying. Argan oil does not have to cost a bomb but concurrently, this is a rare oil that is labour intensive to create and so isn’t usually sold in a ‘giveaway’ price. The most effective argan oil product isn’t just the costliest but don’t forget the word, ‘you get what you pay for’.
