The majority of the population in Uzbekistan is made up of ethnic Uzbeks who are an ethnic Turkic population, but there are also significant minority groups of Russians, Tajiks, Kazakhs, Karakalpaks and Tartars. There are Soviet memorabilia like stamps, portraits of Lenin military uniforms, and caps. Other souvenirs available from the local market include pale and intricately patterned pottery, colorful rugs and clothes as well as jewellery made from traditional silver. With its endless supply of fresh vegetables, smiley locals, and beautiful bazaars in Bukhara, it is one of the places that is most photographed cities in the world.
