This innocuous book found attention in 2005 and possesses passed through my hands many times since. I had created no inclination to peruse its contents for I’d ceased to trust in miracles. In 2005, I had been cursing God for abandoning me. I had been using my energy to stop the hell I descended into Many years earlier by marrying a man as un-Godly as anyone could be.
In 2007, while packing some books as donations to get a book fair, my hand once more fell on “A Course in Miracles”. By now, I had created secured divorce from my husband but had been working with the fallout. When i grasped it, I came to be very thoughtful and calm. The thing that was it about it book that invoked feelings I hadn’t experienced with a long time? My hand clung for the book refusing to put it down. Understanding that this is indicative that we ought to keep an eye on, I developed a cup of tea and sat during my favorite reading chair. With great curiosity, I dedicated to the blue hardcover and study “A Course in Miracles, a basis for inner peace.” Wow. That has been a pretty bold statement but okay, I decided to bite. Having a deep breath slowly, I pondered the most obvious question: What IS the foundation for inner peace? This book instantly opened a vintage wound and it should have the response to healing.
“A Course in Miracles” is actually that, a training course. Designed in three parts, this book isn’t to get taken lightly and will not be read in a week or perhaps a month. There is text, a workbook for young students and a manual for teachers. I had the sudden urge to fling the book across the room because I was deeply and profoundly afraid. I instinctively understood once I began looking over this book, I had been going to have to change and was I ready for your journey ahead?
The most popular movie is “The Matrix”. The principle character Neo is searching for what is anxiety the matrix. He understands the matrix exists but he doesn’t understand what it’s. The man using the answer, Morpheus, contacts Neo and will be offering the chance for truth by offering Neo a choice between taking a blue pill or possibly a red pill. Take the blue pill and grow ignorant or consider the red pill and locate the answer to the matrix. Before he reaches for his pill of choice, Morpheus cautions Neo which should he pick the red pill, the guy can never go back to living he lived.
“A Course in Miracles” may be the red pill. Should i see clearly and alter everything I understand regarding the world and myself or will i consider the blue pill making “A Course in Miracles” book fair fodder?
While i choke along the red pill, I flip to Lesson 1 of 365 within the workbook for college students and promptly read, “Nothing I see on this room means anything”. Oh dear. Can it be too late to accept blue pill?
