The tale of my mother and Whatsapp

It is often five-years since Sami went to France to carry out his studies in engineering. He’s courageous, ambitious, smart, and highly sensitive. Sami returns to Lebanon 3 times annually, in April, August, and December.

Nada, his mother, is 55 years old and does not work. When Sami announced to her he could be planning to Paris to examine, she was proud but in addition anxious. Scared and worried, she started sleeping less during the night, contemplating how her son would survive life in France. From your cold to ladies to food, everything worried her.
Before Sami left, he showed his mother using Skype and promised to call occasionally to update her on his life, but he wasn’t sure this be adequate.
Nada spent a lot of her days waiting for that Skype notification to see and speak with her son. Each time Sami returned home, he noticed that her face increasingly showed signs and symptoms of anxiety, which worried him a great deal. He became anxious but was convinced that his diploma from France would provide him having a better life.
August 2017. Sami just landed in Lebanon and goes home to see his parents. He discusses
his mother’s face and sees different things: she’s smiling and appears relaxed.
What is happening since 2012
Combined with technological advancements, WhatsApp was introduced to the planet. It was revolutionary in lots of ways. Believe it or not, it changed Nada’s life. She actually is a simple learner and received a smartphone as a gift from her son. Sami very easily share many details of his life along with her. Instantaneously, through voice messages, she will hear his voice at any time during the day. She could also video-call him even though he’s on the street, in the different country. Sami sometimes shares pictures of his lunch, the elements, an article of clothing he desired to buy, as well as images of his new girlfriend. Whenever she’s anxious, she sends Sami a message, and a lot of the time, she receives an
instantaneous response.
Technology has been criticized a great deal lately like a reasons why people are becoming distant, in some cases, especially for people living abroad, it’s changed their lives.
