SBI’s new norms relate to minimum balance requirement in savings banking accounts, amended service charges, cool product tax rates, renewed locker fees, charges for availing new cheque books and many more, in accordance with Zee News.

Most prominent of these changed rules are based on customers who hold savings accounts at metro, urban, semi-urban and rural branches. The financial institution has created mandatory repair off minimum balance over these accounts from April 1.

In urban centers like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru there will be electric power charge of Rs 100 plus service tax, when the balance goes below 75 % from the minimum average balance.

Cash withdrawal from ATMs will probably be charged following the first three transaction for other banks and first five transactions from SBI ATMs.
