A new 2016 Xmas rock-POP song has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main goal of bringing awareness and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. The songs title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the songs sound is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop track. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo song since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the studio recording process and used session players to record the track over a 6 week period. The track includes 8 differant tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the USA because of Mark needed the very best outcome and quality. The track is now ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The key aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many visits to the Tsunami Day web site as we are able to and then we hope in-turn they’ll be kind enough to help to 1 or all the Phuket island charities, and to also download the track.
One other definitive goal is to be able enough downloads of the track to fund and create a Phuket live music club with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, that’ll offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the area’s colleges and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not currently open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to market his music Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own personal experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami hit Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages.
