A fresh 2016 Christmas rock-POP song has been written, created and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main purpose of bringing attention and exposure for the Phuket charities and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. The tracks title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a distinctive up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and semi studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then looking forward to the opportunity to record once again. In late August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used session musicians to record the track durring a 6 week period. The songs contains 8 differant tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead artist ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket the mixing and mastering was done in the United States as a result of Mark wanted the most effective result and quality. The music is currently ready to be heard and downloaded by going to the ‘Tsunami Day’ Website.
The key purpose of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many folks to the Tsunami Day web site as we can and then ideally in-turn they will be good enough to give to one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also buy the track.
The other absolute goal is to have enough downloads of the track to help fund and create a Phuket live music bar with open stage and studio / teaching room on Phuket, which will offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the neighborhood schools and orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ isn’t currently open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you are wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to advertise his song Tsunami Day that was inspired from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. As with ‘I’m Coming Home For Xmas’the track Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages.
