Remember when returning to school meant getting a few notebooks, a whole new box of crayons, and new shoes? In case you wore a uniform university, you almost certainly got one of those too; otherwise, you have a couple of new outfits. That’s it.
Well, times have changed. The production list now contains items that was once furnished by the schools – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child requires a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders along with a calculator. When you have two children and also you shop the sales, you can still find yourself spending a lot more than $100.00 in supplies alone. 1) Recycle – Confirm that which you curently have in your own home. You probably have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. already there your house. Put these together in the pencil box which will help you save a couple of bucks.
2) Re-use – Kids believe last year’s backpack must go, but a quick trip with the washer might give it new life.
3) Reduce – Does your son or daughter have a notebook from a year ago which includes three pages of written material inside and 77 blank pages left? Would you find this notebook from the recycle bin – or worse – the garbage? Now is a fun time to talk about waste and keeping it as small as possible by permitting the most use possible of the many item.
