Remember when finding comfort school meant buying a few notebooks, a new box of crayons, and new shoes? Should you wore a uniform university, you probably got one of those too; if not, you have a few new outfits. That’s it.
Well, times have changed. The production list now contains things that had been furnished by the colleges – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child uses a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders as well as a calculator. In case you have two children so you shop the sales, you can still find yourself coughing up a lot more than $100.00 in supplies alone. Understanding that doesn’t even count the newest clothes your kids “has to have” or the fees which are required for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me started on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your youngster needs for college. Can it ever end?
Here are some ideas to save cash on paint set this season.
1) Recycle – Verify that which you have in the home. You probably have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. available your house. Put these together inside a pencil box and will help you save a couple of bucks.
2) Re-use – Kids believe that last year’s backpack has to go, however a quick trip over the washer can provide it new life.
3) Reduce – Does your kids have a notebook from a year ago which has three pages of written material inside and 77 blank pages left? Would you find this notebook inside the bin – or worse – the trash? Might be a good time to debate waste and keeping it to a minimum by letting probably the most use possible from every item.
